MOAA Panel: Building Leadership in Military Spouses

When we PCS, the military provides us with a sponsor to guide us through the ins and outs of moving. Why is it then that we’re so afraid to ask for help in all the other areas of our lives? Military spouses are not born with the tools that make us successful at managing the military lifestyle while still maintaining our own sense of self – we pick them up along the way and if we’re smart, we learn from other spouses and subject matter experts who have "been there, done that". Join us as we discuss the different tools and skills that are important in maximizing our leadership potential. Topics will include: the importance of mentoring, tradition and protocol, innovation, finding balance, and developing skills to help facilitate communication and relationships within your military community.
