Meredith Leyva founded CinCHouse in 1998 when she was Vice President of the Technology Practice of Fleishman Hillard, the world's largest public relations firm.  During her career, she has worked as a public relations strategist and lobbyist for a variety of defense and technology companies, including Boeing, General Dynamics, and CareerBuilder.com. Prior to that, Meredith served as legislative assistant to Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) who sat on the House Armed Services Committee. In that capacity she was named Congressional Staffer of the Year by The Retired Enlisted Association (TREA) for her work in helping increase pay and benefits for veterans. She also serves on the National Advisory Board of the Independent Women’s Forum, which published her 2001 book on Social Security reform entitled Women and Retirement Security.

Meredith's editorials and news articles are syndicated to over 140 base newspapers worldwide, and she is a contributor to Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, Army Times, Air Force Times and other military publications. She regularly represents CinCHouse.com in the national press, including feature stories on CNN, NPR and The Roger Hedgecock Show. Her work with CinCHouse has also been featured in such regional publications as the Dallas Morning News, San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Antonio News-Express, and The Washington Times.  

Meredith has been married for nine years to Lt. Fernando Leyva, a Navy diver and physician, during which time the couple has relocated five times across the continental United States. They live with their children, Alex age 3 and Sophia a newborn, in Pensacola, Florida.
