Gala Reception aboard the USS Midway Tuesday, February 2 The Midway is a short walk from the San Diego Convention Center and the Marriott and Hyatt hotels. Limited bus transportation is available from the Marriott and Manchester Grand Hyatt hotels. * Ticket required. Click here to purchase tickets.
"Midway Magic" promises to be an amazing experience for all, including virtual reality flight simulators, restored vintage naval aircraft from World War II and other historic battles, audio tours, interactive and multimedia exhibits, and a “must do” visit to the Midway Museum store. There’ll be plenty of food and drink, and prime networking on all decks. The USS Midway was commissioned on September 10, 1945. Over the next 47 years, more than 200,000 American veterans served aboard her during the Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War and a number of other conflicts. The USS Midway remained on station and responded to every call – both military and humanitarian, and is the longest serving carrier of the twentieth century. The USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum serves as San Diego's tribute to the contributions of the armed services and as a dynamic, interactive beacon of education and entertainment.
