AFCEA Intelligence Scholarship 2011 Undergraduate Recipients (Each winner received $2,250) Mr. Joseph P. Reinhard Mercyhurst College Erie, PA Mr. Reinhard is a junior in the field of Global Security & Intelligence Studies, and is minoring in Mandarin Chinese and Political Science. He has had two internships, one with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) in 2011, and the other with the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) in 2010. His recent work study with the Mercyhurst Intelligence Department has given him the opportunity to work as a research assistant to the Executive Director of the Department. His work included assisting in research concerning other Intelligence Studies and National Security courses offered at other American universities and colleges. The study included research on over 20 institutions and a comprehensive look at each school’s programs and courses.
Mr. Spencer T. Vuksic Mercyhurst College Erie, PA Mr. Vuksic is a junior majoring in U.S. Intelligence Studies, his specific area of study being Security and Intelligence. He also majors in Russian Studies, and has spent a semester abroad in Moscow, Russia at Moscow State University. His time in Russia included courses in the Russian Language, as well as Russian history, and a Russian culture seminar course. He is a member of the National Security Club and Mercyhurst Equality of Women Russian Conversation Group.
