Who We Are: A Premier Intelligence Association
AFCEA International (AFCEA), established in1946, is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security. AFCEA supports local chapters, sponsors events, publishes the award-winning SIGNAL Magazine, promotes education, and provides member benefits – all with the purpose of equipping its members to meet government’s challenges and to further their careers. AFCEA and its chapters provide a common ground for learning that is unquestioned in its integrity and unequaled in the reach of its relationships.
Over 32,000 individual members and over 1,800 corporate members support AFCEA International and we help them succeed and enable them to serve.
AFCEA Intelligence was established in 1981 as part of AFCEA International to enhance AFCEA's outreach to the U.S. Intelligence Community and to support intelligence professionals in the government, military and private sectors.

Through an extensive network of like minded professionals, AFCEA Intelligence members stay abreast of Intelligence Community issues, develop cross-community knowledge, and advance business objectives.
In addition, the information gained through the interactive forums of AFCEA Intelligence allows its members to better understand how intelligence supports national security at all levels, the challenges and opportunities within the Intelligence Community, and how to collaborate more effectively with the government and private sector.
By providing a resource emphasizing networking and professional development, AFCEA Intelligence brings together intelligence professionals from government and the private sector, including academe. Government has an outside source that it can come to for an industry perspective and industry has an influential voice with the Intelligence Community leadership and within the Intelligence Community agencies.
AFCEA Intelligence provides intelligence professionals with an intelligence association focused on challenges and opportunities. As part of the extended AFCEA International family, AFCEA Intelligence also provides linkage with an international association with over 32,000 individual members and over 1,800 corporate members focused on command, control, communications and intelligence...and their interconnectedness.
