In August, the chapter invited Lt. Gen. Carroll F. Pollett, USA, director, Defense Information Systems Agency, and commander, Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations, to serve as guest speaker. He spoke of the importance of keeping current with technology and the challenges of Internet safety. The event's attendance was one of the largest in recent history. |

In August, Mary Benko (l) receives a 2009 AFCEA Meritorious Service Award from Col. Fraley. Benko has a history of continuous and dedicated support to AFCEA in multiple chapters. She has been a loyal member to AFCEA since 1998, and she continues to serve on the Stuttgart Chapter's executive board as the tech expo coordinator. |
In August, Col. Fraley welcomes Richard DeSalvo to the chapter's executive board. He is the chapter's new vice president. He works on Patch Barracks in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Germany, as the technical director for DISA Europe. |
