Leaders Mentor Young AFCEANs

In June, the chapter's Young AFCEANs held the annual Mentor Protégé Night. Over 150 people gathered to network with members of the defense, security and information technology sectors and to hear insight from three distinguished leaders. Featured speakers included Col. Greg Gardner, USA (Ret.), deputy chief information officer, Office of the Director of National Intelligence; Ruby DeMesme, specialist leader, Deloitte Consulting, and former assistant secretary of the U.S. Air Force; and Col. Ron Zich, USMC, executive officer, Headquarters Marine Corps C-4. The event included attendees from across government, military and industry who spent the evening connecting with the chapter's early- and mid-career professionals. Hosted by the chapter's outgoing Young AFCEA Chair Jason March, the event featured a welcome address from Kent Schneider, president and chief executive officer, AFCEA International.
