NORTHERN VIRGINIA CHAPTER CHAPTER - Dec 10, 2010

Speakers Gather for Holiday Luncheon

Holiday spirit was in the air at the chapter's December luncheon. Attendees toasted to a successful year for the largest AFCEA chapter. The speaker and guest of honor was Tony Montemarano, Senior Executive Service, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), who asserted that DISA missions are critical to national defense and cannot be disrupted regardless of external factors such as Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), funding cuts and organizational challenges. He also asked that industry continue to help develop and support secure, interoperable network-centric solutions, which are inherent in all DISA sponsored initiatives. Relying on its industry partners, both large and small, enables a successful and innovative collaboration that serves the mission and ultimately supports the warfighter.
