In November, the chapter held its seventh annual Bull and Oyster Roast FUNdraiser. The event grew significantly this year, drawing more than 600 attendees and volunteers and raising more than $48,000 for the chapter's Scholarship Fund. Led by the Young AFCEANs, the Bull and Oyster Roast has become one of the chapter's signature events. More than 40 volunteers gave their time to make sure the sold-out event ran smoothly. One lucky winner walked away with a trip to Mardi Gras, and many others received flowers, White Elephant items or other prizes won at the event's wheels or auctions.
