Admiral Praises Veterans

Vice Adm. Herbert A. Browne, USN (Ret.), provided the keynote address at the chapter's November luncheon, which featured a Veteran's Day theme. The admiral provided a poignant and often personal talk about the service and sacrifices our veterans give to our country. Robert LaBella, president of Minerva Engineering (a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business) served as this month's small business speaker. LaBella provided an overview of the companies capabilities and the principles that have guided the company over its 14 years. The chapter presented a touching video compilation of photos of veterans who are chapter members or related to chapter members. All attendees also received a copy of the presentation on DVD. More than 500 people attended the luncheon held in Greenbelt, Maryland.
