Process for Addressing Social Problems

At the November chapter luncheon, Dr. Robert Popp, founder, president and chief executive officer of NSI Incorporated, described NSI's mission to provide social science solutions to the U.S. Defense Department community. Popp founded NSI upon recognizing the gap between the antiterrorism and academic communities along with the pattern of relationships between organized terrorist groups and failed nation states. To address these complex social problems, the scientists, methodologists and analysts at NSI use quantitative and computational models and tools to inform decision makers.
