Conference on Public Safety and Biometrics |
In August, the chapter sponsored a conference titled “Public Safety and Biometrics Applications” at the Argentina Army University in Buenos Aires. Eduardo Jorge Martino, chief superintendent of communications and technical services, Metropolitan Police, served as the lecturer with 50 attendees. Martino addressed aspects of public security and the technological components, biometrics and biometric applications in public safety, as well as a reading system for car license plates. Luis Alberto Favotto, chapter board member, coordinated the event. |
