Captain on Naval Telecommunications |
The chapter held its monthly awards luncheon in September at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Capt. John MacMichael, USN, commanding officer of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific (NCTAMS PAC), briefed attendees on how they provide operational direction and management to all Pacific naval telecommunication system users. In addition to this function, he discussed how NCTAMS PAC manages, operates and maintains defense communication system and naval telecommunication system assets and offers a full range of ADP and information resource services, maintenance and repair, and communication/electronic and Defense Message System coordination to the U.S. Navy and Defense Department in the Pacific. The chapter named Randall Cieslak, chief information officer, U.S. Pacific Command, as the chapter's Senior Government Leader of the Month, and Anna Vitkauskas, 311th Signal Brigade, received the AFCEAN of the Month Award. Beryl Morimoto, HCC PCATT, was honored as chapter Executive of the Month, and Tiffany Jenkins was honored as the Young AFCEAN of the Month. Michael Takehayashi from Castle High School was chosen as this month's chapter Student of the Month. |
