Awards Presented at Luncheon |
The chapter held its monthly awards luncheon in October at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. Maj. Gen. Norman J. Brozenick Jr., USAF, commander, Special Operations Command Pacific (SOPAC), U.S. Pacific Command (PACOM), spoke to the group about visionary changes coming to the Special Operations Forces and SOCPAC. The chapter named Cmdr. Marcia Ziemba, USN, chief of the IT Services Division at (J-64) Command, Control, Communications and Cyber Directorate, PACOM, as its Senior Government Leader of the Month, and Thomas R. Thornton received the AFCEAN of the Month Award. The chapter honored Steve Rodolfich from Microsoft as its Senior Executive of the Month. In addition, Carolyn Morris from Saint Andrew Priory and Kennedy Nabalta from Damien Memorial School were both honored this month as chapter Students of the Month. This will be the chapter's last meeting of the year as it prepares for the upcoming TechNet Asia Pacific (Rebalancing Toward the Asia Pacific, Challenges & Opportunities) being held at the Sheraton Waikiki November 13-15, 2012.
