BELVOIR CHAPTER CHAPTER - Nov 03, 2012

Young AFCEANs Support STEM

The chapter donated an outdoor supply shed from Home Depot in November to house the largest and most cumbersome materials used in classroom experiments and exercises at Fort Belvoir Elementary School. One blustery Saturday morning, a team of Young AFCEANs (led by their vice president, Dan Shaer) volunteered their time to assemble the shed. It is the chapter's hope that the shed will further demonstrate its commitment to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education at the school, and that its construction will showcase its solidarity as an organization.
