General on Air Force Cyber Operations

In January, the chapter welcomed Lt. Gen. Michael J. Basla, USAF, chief, information dominance, and chief information officer, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Gen. Basla shared with attendees his experiences and duties in his role as overseeing approximately 77,000 cyber operations and support personnel across the globe. In addition, the chapter recognized Col. Arthur G. Hatcher, USAF, Pacific Air Forces A-6, as the chapter's Senior Government Leader of the Month. Joy Hess, president of Wakelight Technologies, was honored as chapter Senior Executive of the Month, and Lt. Cmdr. Alan Dunston, USN (Ret.), Pacific Command, was honored as the AFCEAN of the Month. This month, the chapter also honored two students from Aiea High School as the chapter's Students of the Month: Kyle Ishikawa and James Kela Grace.
