Chapter Planning Meeting Held |
The chapter held a planning meeting in February at the Camp Lejeune Officers Club. Jane Brightwell, regional vice president, installed two new chapter officers: Lt. Col. Gary Delgado, USMC, president, and Dan Egge, treasurer. Due to recent operational tempo, the chapter has not been as active as desired, but Col. Delgado is committed to reinvigorating the chapter. Egge has maintained the chapter's integrity for several years and during the numerous Marine deployments, and Brightwell recognized Egge for his efforts with an AFCEA International coin. Col. Mike Warlick, USMC (Ret.), vice president, regional and chapter outreach, AFCEA international, reminded the attendees of the AFCEA mission and vision and shared a number of ideas for bringing the chapter back to prominence. Col. Delgado then led a discussion among those in attendance to gather ideas for future events. He also will be developing a list of board members and volunteer opportunities. |
