Award Winners Recognized

The chapter held its monthly luncheon at Martin's Crosswinds in February with approximately 500 people in attendance. During the event, the chapter celebrated several of its outstanding members. Nik Acheson received the Distinguished Young AFCEAN Award; AFCEA International recognized Jennifer Kauffman as the AFCEAN of the Month; and Zac Miller was awarded the AFCEA International Cyber Scholarship; and the chapter received the Young AFCEAN Program Award for 2012. The chapter congratulated Acheson, Kauffman and Miller on all their achievements. In addition, the event featured Brian Walsh, chief technology officer for Interclypse, as the small business speaker followed by Maj. Gen. Mark Perrin, USAF, deputy director, Signals Intelligence Directorate (SID), National Security Agency. Gen. Perrin's primary target was the innovation of the SID mission in order to attract and maintain talent in the industry.
