Transforming Mission-Based Cloud Computing

The chapter hosted Cameron Chehreh, chief enterprise engineer and cloud ready professional, Intelligence Solutions Division, General Dynamics Information Technology, as the guest speaker at its August luncheon. Chehreh’s presentation defined cloud computing to synchronize the conversation, outlined what industry predicted adoption would be, detailed the reality of the current state of cloud computing and focused on the opportunities to support missions for the way ahead. Following his presentation, attendees posed questions and participated in a group discussion with Chehreh and Brig. Gen. Bruce Crawford, USA, Director, J-6, C-4/Cyber, U.S. European Command.

Carpenter (l) and Samuel Milford, vice president for programs, added recently received award streamers to the chapter flag in August. The awards included: the Brenda M. Dougherty Diversity Award (first time ever received by an overseas chapter), a Model Chapter Award, and two Albert J. Myer Awards, one for Member Retention and one for Achievement.
