MONTGOMERY CHAPTER CHAPTER - Sep 10, 2013

Chapter Welcomes New Base Leadership

In September, the chapter hosted a welcome reception at Arrowhead Country Club for Col. Kjall Gopaul, USAF, chief of the Business Enterprise Systems Operations Division, and Lt. Col. James Hewitt, USAF, commander, 26th Network Operations Squadron. Lt. Col. Leonard Boothe, USAF, chapter vice president, welcomed a full house of industry and military personnel and highlighted for the new leadership the major facets of the chapter. Eric Sloan, president of the chapter's Young AFCEAN Advisory Council (YAAC), discussed the YAAC, including its efforts to promote valuable networking events through the Business Over Breakfast series and quarterly mixers, and also touched on the level of community involvement and dedication the chapter organization as a whole strives to achieve in promoting education in the River Region. Following Col. Boothe and Sloan's presentations, Col. Gopaul briefly spoke to audience members regarding some past experiences he had as a member of the Air Force, and he expressed his enthusiasm in being a part of the Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex operations. The chapter welcomes Col. Gopaul and Col. Hewitt and thanks them for donating time to meet and mingle with some of Montgomery's professionals.
