NSA Speaker on Media Leaks

In September, the chapter hosted a luncheon featuring Rick Ledgett, special assistant to National Security Agency (NSA) Director Gen. Keith Alexander, USA, for media leaks. Although there is a global network that everyone shares, the NSA’s mission is to gather foreign intelligence and to protect the United States from foreign intelligence—not to spy on Americans, emphasized Ledgett. With many half-truths floating around in the media, Ledgett has been working with director of national intelligence and the White House to open up a national dialogue. The chapter’s small business speaker, Robert Stevens, vice president of Elevi, concentrated his talk on doing more with less. Essentially, its company motto: Maximizing the “know” and “how” by using a suite of tools that leverages technology.
