Inaugural 5k Benefits Veterans |
In September, the chapter held its inaugural 5k benefiting veterans scholarships, which will be a yearly event in the future. Attracting more than 200 supporters, the event featured a live DJ and a dance fitness group to kick off the early race at the Fairfax Corner shopping plaza. The runners, media and local business donated funds and in-kind support to make this event a success. The chapter already is in the planning stages for next year and looks forward to seeing attendees there. |
