Army IT Day Content Packs the House

Attended by more than 800 government and industry professionals, the chapter's Army IT Day in March was a great success. U.S. Army officials covered many topics, which included organization changes within the Army information technology community (Cyber Command, Network Enterprise Technology Command, Defense Information Systems Agency, Program Executive Offices and G-6), data center migration, status and the future of the Joint Information Environment, applications movement to the data center and/or the cloud (Defense Department or industry), cyber status and priorities, procurement opportunities, and the Army's challenges in maintaining and defending the network. Attendees also enjoyed the rapidly growing small business breakout sessions, where program managers and acquisition professionals spoke about upcoming opportunities.
