Quantum Computation and Quantum Cryptography

The chapter sponsored a conference, Quantum Computation and Quantum Cryptography, at the Argentina Army's Army University Buenos Aires in June. Forty-five attendees heard from Juan Pablo Paz, Ph.D., senior researcher at the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research, and Miguel A. Larotonda, Ph.D., Quantum Optics division chief at the Institute for Scientific and Technological Research of the Armed Forces for lasers and applications. The conference focused on the basics of the art of quantum computation and cryptography, allowing participants to explore these disruptive technologies that revolutionize the computing world.
