Chapter Hosts 4th Annual Mobile Technology Summit

The chapter's Mobile Working Group Steering Committee sponsored the fourth Annual Mobile Technology Summit in November, which focused on tactical applications and policy affecting the mobile industry. The theme of the summit was "Mobility from the Battlespace to Serving the Homeland." The summit featured keynote and breakout panel discussions from government and industry leaders in the mobile technology space. Topics included cybersecurity, emerging technology, wearable mobile technologies, small business innovation and more. This year's summit was unique because it was laser-focused on government-approved, mission-critical aspects of mobility. Unlike consumer-centric mobile conferences, this summit largely engaged attendees in areas ranging from command and control, common operational picture, flight-line operations and inspections, sniper and anti-sniper applications and battlefield triage. The summit also had an Innovation Jam featuring developers showcasing their latest mobile solutions.
