YAACs Get Fit in April |
In April, the Young AFCEAN Advisory Council's (YAAC) “Get Fit” program was busy. They participated in the 6th Annual Centerpoint Half Marathon and 5K. The team consisted of young professionals from the military, government and industry, who got up early on a sunny Saturday morning in front of the YMCA in Prattville, Alabama to run for a good cause. The Centerpoint Half Marathon and 5K is an annual event that is hosted by the Centerpoint Fellowship Church with all proceeds going to international missions and Stella's Voice. Two weeks later, the YAACs joined the 15th annual Walk for Life in downtown Montgomery, Alabama. The Walk for Life is sponsored by the Joy Life Foundation, which provides free mammograms and breast cancer screenings to medically underserved men and women in Alabama. The YAACs are proud to support worthy causes and look forward to their future “Get Fit” events. |
