24th Air Force General Presents 'Technology and Innovations'

The chapter held its first luncheon of the year in February. Guest speaker Brig. Gen. Mitchel Butikofer, USAF, presented "Technology and Innovations." The vice commander of the 24th Air Force said it is looking to prioritize efforts to deliver capabilities that will benefit warfighters. Some of these efforts include improving Cyberspace Vulnerability Assessment/Hunter (CVA/H) and leveraging cyber, electronic warfare (EW) and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) platforms and processes. He then emphasized that airmen need to be operationally sound. Industry has doctorate-level employees behind their networks. Airmen need training and to continue to partner with industry. Collaboration Pathfinder, the Air Force's email migration to the cloud, has proved to be a great success, the general said. Gen. Butikofer added that there are now more than 60,000 users, and the service aims to get all users on board by the end of this year if funding is available.
