WASHINGTON DC CHAPTER Chapter • May 14, 2007

The chapter's annual scholarship luncheon was held in May and featured guest speakers as well as major contributions to educational funding. This year, the chapter recognized 14 scholarship winners and committed a total of $84,000 in scholarship funds. Adm. Edmund P. Giambastiani, Jr., USN, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was in attendance to congratulate each scholarship recipient and present the meeting's keynote address. Also, in recognition of his years of service to the chapter's scholarship program, Ted Bronson, scholarship committee chair, was honored by Becky Nolan, executive vice president of AFCEA International.
