Making Mathematics Count for Children

In March, members of the chapter's Young AFCEAN council partnered with the National Society of Professional Engineers to host the State of Massachusetts Mathcounts competition. The Young AFCEANs supported the event in a numer of ways, including proctoring and grading examinations, and helped to generate a total of $10,000 donated to the top 10 finalists from the competition. Each one of the 10 finalists received a $1,000 savings bond.
