Javelin Joint Venture Awarded $115 Million Contract for United Arab Emirates and Oman

Raytheon Company and Lockheed Martin’s Javelin Joint Venture has received a $115 million contract with the U.S. government to product the Javelin anti-tank missile and command launch unit for the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Javelin is a man-portable and employable fire-and-forget medium-range missile system ideal for one-soldier operations in all environments.

SRA Awarded $29.9 Million Contract by the U.S. Army

SRA International has been awarded a re-compete contract from the U.S. Army. The contract could be worth $29.9 million over five years, if all the options are exercised. SRA will continue to assist in combining into one program the installation support modules contract and the range facility management support system.

Northrop Grumman Receives Contract to Provide Electronic Combat Systems for Republic of Korea Aircraft

Northrop Grumman Corporation has won a $74.6 million contract to provide 21 ALQ-135M electronic combat systems for the Republic of Korea Air Force’s F-15K aircraft. The AN/ALQ-135M is a fully automatic, internally-mounted electronic combat system that prioritizes, manages and defeats multiple threats simultaneously.

Lockheed Martin Awarded $80 Million Production Contract

Lockheed Martin has received an $80 million follow-on contract from the U.S. Air Force for the gunship multispectral sensor system, the electro-optical/infrared fire control system for the AC-130U gunship.

Thales Communications to Provide Communications Design Expertise to U.S. Air Force

Thales Communications Incorporated will provide communications design expertise for the upgrade of the tactical automated security system. The contract was awarded by the 642nd Electronics Systems Squadron of the U.S. Air Force. Thales will design advanced communications modules (CM) and advanced hand-held monitors (HHM), which will update and extend the capabilities of existing CMs and HHMs.

Sensis to Modernize Key Components of Area Surveillance Radars

Sensis Corporation has been awarded a contract with the Canadian Department of National Defense (DND) to refurbish a primary component of the DND’s terminal radar and control system fleet of area surveillance radar. The Sensis solution will improve system reliability, maintainability and availability while extending the overall service life of the radars.

ITT to Provide SpearNet Radio System to Spanish Army

ITT Communications Systems of ITT Corporation has been selected by the Defence & Security Division of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) to provide its SpearNet radio system for the full-scale engineering development phase of Spain’s Combatiente del Futuro, a military modernization program. The SpearNet radio will provide the backbone for voice, data and video communications for the Spanish Army.

TYBRIN Receives Contract from U.S. Air Force for System Engineering and Technical Assistance

TYBRIN Corporation‘s contract with the U.S. Air Force is being modified for an estimated $11.3 million. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract provides system engineering and technical assistance support, including requirements definition, engineering management, risk education, developmental engineering, technical analysis, and acquisition management support, for a variety of research, test and evaluation, and training programs at the Air Force Flight Test Center Edwards Air Force Base, California.
