Business Focus:
The mission of the Chief Information Officer Group is to develop a coherent vision, strategy and architecture for the
defense information environment (DIE) and its subordinate
domains, coordinate information direction of the groups and
services and ensure that DIE investment has a balance between current
system development and Force 2030 demands, as well as enhance
recognition of the DIE as a critical component of future warfighting. With the Strategic Policy Group, the company further seeks to improve joint
operations concepts and doctrine regarding DIE use in future
operations, establish robust governance processes for the DIE
and support Strategic Operations Division planning.
