The Virginia Beach Economic Development Department is
responsible for all business attraction and retention and work force
development efforts for the city of Virginia Beach. The department
works with a variety of targeted business sectors, specifically
including defense-related companies. It is assisted by the VB
Military Economic Development Advisory Committee, made up
primarily of retired senior Navy personnel, as well as key
representatives from the private business sector.
