The Information Technology Laboratory (ITL) is one of seven laboratories that compose the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). ITL is a state-of-the-art R&D laboratory with experience that spans the entire life cycle of technology, including research, development, production, operations and maintenance. ITL's High Performance Computing Center runs more than 40,000 processors with five petabytes of mass storage with around-the-clock backup generators. ITL is the home to a variety of DOD environments including the Defense Research Engineering Network (DREN), S-DREN, NIPRNET, SIPRNET, CorpsNet, and VSATs, as well as a closed-restricted network for testing.
