Top 3 issues within IT acquisitions Anderson Technology is moving faster than structured process Human Capital aspects - aging workforce (baby boomer generation) 40% has 25 years or more - approaching retirement. Reviewing IT Curriculum Training. Monetmarano Process is intended to be flexible, yet people are not. They protect their area instead of focusing on end state. Attitude towards procurement is negative. Acquisitions need to be an enabler to mission not a hindrance to it. How do we replenish the acquisition workforce? Allen Technology moving faster than we can procure (soliders and sailers writing code on battlefield because they are competent at it) Concerned about money put aside for applications that are not built yet Network security, need applications with security built into it Green IT (relying on generators is not acceptable)

Priority #1 is to get the product out, unfortunately our process needs to be changed to get the product out faster.
Questions IT Curriculm at DAU is not tailored, now the burden is on the IT PMs? Competencies are based on functional teams (there is an IT team) this influences what DAU provides. One of the actions is to reinvigorate training, and the functional teams will determine what is needed for the community.
Are failed programs a result of failed requirments? What can be done to improve the requirement validation process? The requirement process goes to fast, acquiring the right technology too late. The CDD process is a vision of what we need to be doing.
Acquisition Workforce using telework How do we measure productivity, how do we reach you. Need to do it in context of organization.
