Peter¿s talk will describe the extraordinary 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' contrast between the formal military-military diplomatic activities of the Mission and its highly successful intelligence collection patrolling out on the ground.
Despite the numerous crises during the Cold War, it was only on the eve of German re-unification in 1990 that the Soviets finally ended the liaison agreements that they had put in place with their wartime Western Allies in 1946. |
