Description: |
Cybercrime costed the world almost $1 trillion in 2020 as the
coronavirus pandemic provided new opportunities for hackers to
target consumers and businesses. Despite a surge in crime, many
companies lack a clear plan for dealing with cyberattacks. Gartner
predicts that annual global spending on cybersecurity will reach
$170 billion by 2022. Even with this ever increasing levels of
organizational spend on security related hardware, software and
services, cyber attacks continue unabated. The average total cost
of a data breach is $4.24m and dwell time is 287 days. In this
session we will look at venture capital investments and M&A trends
in security, innovative segments that are attracting investors, how
investors are evaluating security startups, recent exits and post
IPO performance |
