Cyber resilience is a fundamental approach to
protecting communication networks and digital
assets, ensuring the operational continuity of
organizations in the face of numerous cyber
threats. It is a concept that goes beyond simple
cybersecurity, encompassing the ability of an
organization to prevent, respond to, and recover
from harmful events.
The Rome Chapter of AFCEA International proposes a
conference to offer an overview of the challenges
posed by new Cyber threats supported by AI
technology and to illustrate strategies for
strengthening the digital resilience of networks
and data management assets against such threats.
The conference will start by examining the current
state of Cyber Defense in Italy, identifying the
pillars of Digital Defense, and pinpointing the
industrial ecosystem serving the armed forces and,
more broadly, all sectors of our country. Industry
and Defense sector experts will share best
practices and advanced technologies to protect
organizations and ensure operational continuity.
This event will focus not only on cyber resilience
but also on the escalation of malware and IPT
threats through the use of artificial intelligence
and machine learning technologies to quickly
identify and respond to threats. The methods of
spread, objectives, and impacts of these threats
on organizational security will be explored. The
defense techniques using OSINT sources, now
fundamental even for government entities as a
supplement to closed sources, will also be
analyzed. The methods of infection, persistence
techniques, and the devastating effects they can
have on networks and computer systems will be
illustrated. Several industry professionals will
participate in the last event before the summer
break. |
