Our theme for this year s Alamo ACE is The Next Frontier Transforming Enterprise Ops to Multi-Domain Ops. It is our intent to provide you access and insight to the senior leader s perspective on current developments in cyberspace and future challenges in transforming to multi-domain operations strategically, and military cyber and ISR operations battlespace in the future. The Alamo ACE is an annual event with a national draw supporting the military community. We expect 1800+ attendees at the 2018 AACE. We ll open with a golf tournament on Monday, November 5th supporting our Wounded Warrior and Military Families Endowment Fund. The ACE program will consist of two full days of expert panels and esteemed keynote speakers and panels, followed by a half-day of acquisition updates and a half-day of classified discussions. AFCEA is a non-profit organization which directly supports the military and community through ethical dialogue, professional development, and educational opportunities. Many in the small business community are being asked by large business primes to demonstrate their compliance as part of their subcontract. Our primary customer will require compliance on contracts going forward.<br /> <br />DFARS 252.204-7012 Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting requires defense contractors to provide adequate security on all covered contractor information systems . He talked about Communication is key on the battlefield whether the physical battlefields or in Cyberspace. In cybersecurity, we focus on tools and solution vice communications and processes. He highlighted common communications techniques in the DOD battlespace that cross boundaries with cyberspace. We tend to think everyone speaks our language but we do not, which in Cyber Security would be a "Gap in our security Posture". This class discussed the use of common terms and break down the language barrier in Cyber so that everyone is speaking a similar language. In Afghanistan and Iraq, we learned that when we started putting translators with the warfighters, we start to understand the culture and the different terms, which is what the Cyber Warfighter needs in Cyberspace.
