Changes in Membership Dues Structure

During the past several months, AFCEA International has been boosting the value of membership with programs such as the Corporate Member Only Forum, the Mentoring Continuum and the CERT STEPfwd training package. Simultaneously, AFCEA Membership Committee members have been discussing how to increase membership among underrepresented groups to enhance all members’ networking opportunities during AFCEA and AFCEA chapter activities. These groups include active-duty military and government personnel as well as Young AFCEANs–those members age 40 and under.

Based on the committee’s recommendations, AFCEA examined each of these target audiences and adjusted the dues structure accordingly. Effective October 1, the association will now offer active government and military memberships, including Life Membership, at significantly reduced rates.  In addition, the one- and three-year rate for Young AFCEAN membership will be reduced.

Traditional one- and three-year membership rates will increase slightly, as will corporate membership rates. Corporate members may renew before October 1 at the current membership rate and are encouraged to fill their corporate associate roster completely to ensure their employees can take advantage of all the benefits of individual membership.
