FLIR to Provide Persistent Surveillance in Afghanistan

FLIR Systems Incorporated, Wilsonville, Oregon, is being awarded a $25,506,679 firm-fixed-price contract for 34 Star SAFIRE 380 high-definition systems to outfit and enhance the capabilities of the existing Persistent Ground Surveillance System that are currently fielded for the Army. Work will be performed in Afghanistan and Wilsonville, Oregon; and is expected to be completed in August 2012. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey is the contracting activity.
