Southwest Research Institute (SwRI), San Antonio, Texas, has been awarded a not-to-exceed $13,139,976 cost-reimbursement (cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-reimbursement-no-fee), indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering services in support of AN/ALQ-131 and AN/ALQ-184 electronic attack pods. Contractor will provide software test, software studies and analyses, software engineering, software support, test support, and system test and evaluation. Work will be performed at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, and is expected to be complete by May 16, 2022. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition.

The U.S. Air Force has awarded a team led by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) a $9.4 million contract to develop a component of a novel geolocation system that will detect and locate communications and other high-frequency signals with unprecedented accuracy. The program, funded by the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), will integrate a high-fidelity ionospheric model with a geolocation system for the first time to achieve this level of precision.

Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, has been awarded a $9,423,767 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development. This contract is the second phase in a three-phase program. This contract aims to dramatically improve the ability to detect and geolocate high-frequency emitters.

Southwest Research Institute, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded an $11,151,506 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to design, develop, test, integrate, and demonstrate the System Manager and Link Manager Reference applications for the Telemetry Network System (TmNS) in support of the Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) Integrated Network Enhancement Telemetry Program Office. The MRTFBs will utilize the TmNS to significantly increase test mission efficiency through networked enabled telemetry components. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-14-C-0010).
