Options exercised at award. Bids were solicited via the Internet with five received. Work will be performed in Jordan with an estimated completion date of September 10, 2016. Funds in the amount of $13,846,183 were obligated at the time of the award. L-3 Communications, Platform Integration Division, Waco, Texas, has been awarded a $9,782,108 undefinitized contract action for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft and training to the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF). Contractor will provide the delivery/ferry of four ISR aircraft; RJAF pilot, maintainer and mission system training; and field service representative support in support of the counterterrorism efforts in Jordan. Work will be performed in Waco, Texas, and in Jordan, and it is expected to be completed by September 30, 2016. This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales. This award is the result of a sole-source acquisition.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Florida, has been awarded an $8,906,093 undefinitized contract action. Contractor will provide the Royal Jordanian Air Force, through a third party transfer, 10 United Kingdom Sniper advanced targeting pods with compact multiband datalink, digital data recorder with associated global scope software and data logger modules. Sniper advanced targeting pod system is integrated with F-16 aircraft to provide electro-optical and infrared imagery. Work will be performed at Orlando, Florida, and is expected to be complete by Nov. 27, 2016. This contract involves foreign military sales.

Technical Communications Solutions Corporation, Swampscott, Massachusetts, was awarded a $8,622,068 firm-fixed-price, foreign military sales (Jordan) contract for the installation of fiber optic cable that will satisfy the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) fiber optic-last mile (FO-LM) and fiber optic-long haul (FO-LH) requirements, and shall include the installation, testing and sustainment activities required for the JAF FO-LM and the FO-LH cable links. Work will be performed in Jordan, with an estimated completion date of January 6, 2016. One bid was solicited with one received. Fiscal 2015 other procurement funds in the amount of $8,622,068 are being obligated at the time of the award.

The Jordanian government has extended its nationwide TETRA communication network contract with Thales Group. In 2006, Thales was selected to supply its Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) solution, DigiMax, for the installation of a nationwide Tetra network. The national network aims to provide Jordan armed forces, public safety, police security agencies and the civil defense with a reliable, secure and easy-to-use communication system. With more than 160 base stations and 30,000 users, the fully distributed TETRA network will be in operation by the end of 2012.
