The Defense Department reported on October 26 that it had awarded a $20 million per year contract to Texas A&M University's Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) to establish and manage the University Consortium for Applied Hypersonics, known as UCAH. DOD Awards $87 Million to nonprofit BioMADE to Advance Bio-Industrial Manufacturing

On October 20, the Defense Department announced an $87 million, seven-year award to the Bio-Industrial Manufacturing and Design Ecosystem (BioMADE), a nonprofit created by the Engineering Biology Research Consortium, for a new Manufacturing Innovation Institute (MII). BioMADE, headquartered at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, will collaborate with public and private entities to advance sustainable and reliable bio-industrial manufacturing technologies, according to a DOD statement.

TCG is Helping to Modernize the FCC's Electronic Comment Filing System

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has awarded a contract to Washington, D.C.-based TCG to assist with the modernization of the FCC's Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS). Through the ECFS, the public and industry are able to submit comments on possible FCC regulations. Under the $5 million, 2-year contract, TCG will support the modernization of the system using AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, and other technologies, to ensure that the ECFS is flexible, scalable, and reliable.

TCG is Preparing Data Visualization and Analysis for the SEC's Quantitative Research Program

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has selected Washington, D.C.-based TCG to assist the data visualization efforts of its Quantitative Research Analytical Data Support program. Under the $5.6 million, four-year task order, TCG will support knowledge sharing, data display and data analysis throughout SEC, the company reported. In addition, TCG will provide project management, web development and technical writing support for the SEC’s Data Insights and Data Visualization initiatives of the recently-created Office of the Chief Data Officer.

HHS Selects TCG to Provide Enterprise Information Technology Support

The Department of Health and Human Services has selected Washington, D.C.-based TCG to supply enterprise information technology support to its Administration for Children and Families (ACF). Under the $51 million Office of the Chief Information Officers (OCIO) Information Technology Enterprise Support Services (ITESS) contract, the company will support the ACF ICIO over the next five years.
