L-3 to Provide Persistent Surveillance in Afghanistan

L-3 Services Incorporated, MPRI, Alexandria, Virginia, is being awarded a $7,917,591 contract modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price cost contract for Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems support of forward operating bases, including sustainment of operators currently in theatre, training and pre-deployment support. Work will be performed in Afghanistan and the Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by February 2013. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.
