Mechanical Technology is Providing Spectrum Analysis to the Air Force
Mechanical Technology Inc., Albany, New York, has been awarded a $9,000,000 firm-fixed-priced requirements type contract for the production and repair of the PBS4100 and associated adapter kits. The PBS4100 is used to perform trim balance and vibration diagnostics frequency spectrum analysis, act as an oscilloscope/voltmeter and perform balance analysis. The adapter kits allow the PBS4100 to work with multiple aircraft. Work will be performed in Albany, New York, and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2027. This award is the result of a sole source acquisition and no funds are being obligated at the time of award. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Support Equipment and Vehicles, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity (FA8533-22-D-0005).
