iCAMR Inc., Kissimmee, Florida, has been awarded a $7,585,850 cost-type contract with no fee for research and development. The Trusted Semiconductor Manufacturing Pilot Project involves developing a Secure Digital Twin for Semiconductors manufacturing methodology by applying block-chain trust and assurance security concepts and "digital twin" manufacturing concepts to the semiconductor manufacturing process. While the focus of this project is on security aspects, the "digital twin" concept provides the framework on which the security and provenance data will be collected and analyzed. Work will be performed at Kissimmee, Florida, and is expected to be complete by Sept. 22, 2022.

New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Socorro, New Mexico, has been awarded a $92,980,000 cost-reimbursement, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Playas Electronic Attack & Cyber Environment research and development. This contract will define, develop and deploy cyber electronic warfare (EW) capabilities for research and development, evaluation, test and training in support of employment of cyber EW effects. DOD reported that the effort would "provide a unique and enduring environment to support Department of Defense assets for the employment of cyber and EW effects." Work will be performed in Playas, New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by October 7, 2026.

Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio, has been awarded a $42,156,000 bilateral, shared ceiling increase modification (P00003) to previously awarded FA8650-15-D-1953 for research and development. The Microelectronics and Embedded Systems Assurance (MESA) contract modification will provide for basic, applied, and advanced research and development to develop, evaluate, and facilitate the transition of technologies to improve the security and reliability of microelectronics and embedded systems. Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by September 21, 2022. Total cumulative face value of the contract is $90,877,000. No funds are being obligated at the time of the award.

Raytheon Co., El Segundo, California, has been awarded a $10,942,488 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Technologies for the Mixed-mode Ultra Scaled Integrated Circuits (T-MUSIC) effort. This effort will develop advanced mixed-mode RF components and sub-systems leveraging the T-MUSIC platform. T-MUSIC technology combines advanced silicon-germanium with advanced CMOS to enable ultra-wide bandwidth, high spurious free dynamic range and fine data converter resolution with high effective number of bits beyond current state-of-the-art. Work will be performed at El Segundo, California; Andover, Maryland; and Thousand Oaks, California, and is expected to be completed Dec. 20, 2023.

 

Herrick Technology Laboratories Inc.,* Manchester, New Hampshire, has been awarded a $40,712,166 cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract for Spectrum-Agile, Location Aware, Enhanced Electromagnetic Kit (SLEEK) hardware and software. This contract provides for research, develop, integrate, prototype, demonstrate, validate and verify new software capabilities for a software-defined and reprogrammable transceiver that has broad applicability to military-relevant missions. This agreement provides for outside continental U.S. (OCONUS) field assessment for purposes of experimentation.
