Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio, has been awarded a $46,302,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the manufacturing of carbon-carbon (C-C) composites for hypersonic applications initiative to create a stronger, broader supply base for C-C composites positioned to meet current and future Department of Defense hypersonic systems’ requirements. Technical efforts under the scope of this initiative will be structured to develop C-C composite manufacturing technologies that enable the production at higher rates and quality and at reduced cost and schedule. Work will be performed at Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by September 25, 2027.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) issued a contract to Columbus, Ohio-based Battelle Memorial Institute to provide decontamination for N95 respirator masks as part of Battelle's CCDS Critical Care Decontamination System. Under the contract, healthcare providers can use the decontamination services for free. Battelle is operating its CCDS Critical Care Decontamination System at locations in central Ohio, Long Island, New York and Washington state, with plans to expand to Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, and the Washington, DC area.

Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio, has been awarded a $48,721,000 multiple award, fair opportunity, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (FA8650-15-D-1953) for research and development. Contractor will provide for basic, applied and advanced research and development to develop, evaluate and facilitate the transition of technologies to improve the security and reliability of microelectronics and embedded systems. Fiscal 2015 research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $200,000 are being obligated on task order 0001 at the time of award.

The award is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with a combined maximum ceiling of $750 million over a five-year period ending Nov. 30, 2017. The contract fulfills a full scope of intelligence training requirements. The contracting activity is the Virginia Contracting Activity.
