Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC, Plymouth, Minnesota, has been awarded an $8,499,990 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for integrating the mobile-anti unmanned aerial vehicle defense system with a networked low, slow, small, unmanned aerial system integrated defeat system into a mobile platform. One bid was solicited with one bid received. Work will be performed in Plymouth, Minnesota, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 26, 2018. Fiscal 2018 aviation procurement (Army) funds in the amount of $4,164,995 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-18-C-0006).

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) has awarded funding to five research and development (R&D) projects to enhance mobile applications security (MAS) for the government. The DHS S&T Mobile Security R&D program, part of the Cyber Security Division in the Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency, will mahange the projects. The recently launched MAS project will focus on continuous validation and threat protection for mobile apps and integrating security throughout the mobile app lifecycle.

The U.S. Navy awarded Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Herndon, Virginia, with a $103,423,433 fixed-price, firm-fixed price, cost-plus-fixed-fee and cost-only modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-15-C-6327) for Joint Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) Electronic Warfare, Joint Crew (JCREW) Increment one build one (I1B1) systems low-rateinitial production to support the expeditionary warfare program office.

Insight Public Sector Inc., Tempe, Arizona, is being awarded $30,934,596 for call MU01 against a previously awarded blanket purchase agreement (N66001-15-A-0001) to procure Microsoft brand name enterprise licenses and support, known as software assurance. The company also is being awarded $18,401,694 for call MU02 under the same contract. The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
