This modification provides for the development of Adaptive Radar Countermeasure (ARC) Software/Firmware (SW/FW) capabilities and integration of ARC SW/FW on the AN/ALQ-214A electronic countermeasure host. ARC SW/FW supplements F/A-18C-F survivability in the presence of radio frequency guided surface-to-air and air-to-air weapons systems. McLean, Virginia-based BAE Systems will support the U.S. Air Force's Instrumentation Range Support Program (IRSP) by providing a wide range of instrumentation and sustainment services. The seven-year effort, which has a contract celiing of $495 million, includes assistance to U.S. military and government agencies as well as to allies. BAE Systems has been involved in the IRSP for 35 years and under the new contract, BAE will work to ensure the accuracy and operational reliability of tracking systems in support of national security missions, the company reported.
