Work will be performed in Socorro, New Mexico; Maui, Hawaii; and Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory, and is expected to be completed April 30, 2022. Fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance funds in the full amount will be obligated the time of award. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $57,097,418. L-3 Communications EO/IR Inc., Santa Rosa, California, has been awarded a $90,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for electro-optical and infrared sensors and features. The contract provides an ordering avenue for MX series turrets and features. Work will be performed in Burlington, Canada, and is expected to be complete by December 31, 2022, with the option to extend through December 31, 2027. The award was a sole-source acquisition. Funding will be obligated on each individual delivery order, and fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $10,140 are being obligated on the first order.

L-3 WESCAM recently announced that it has received an acquisition and sustainment contract from the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization to provide a minimum of eight MX-15 electro-optical and infrared imaging systems to the Royal Danish Air Force’s EH101 aircraft. System deliveries are expected to be complete by 2014.
Compass Systems Inc., Lexington Park, Md., is being awarded a $9,978,215 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development of an airborne system in support of the Electro-Optical (EO) and Special Mission Sensors Division of the Avionics Department.
